Wayne State is located in the heart of Detroit's University Cultural Center, the home to a variety of museums, galleries, theatres and sports venues, many within walking distance. The main campus encompasses 203acres of landscaped walkways, green spaces and gathering spots linking 100 education and research buildings. The campus is urban and features many architecturally interesting buildings. Wayne state also has six satellite campuses in and around metro Detroit. TechTown, which occupies 12 bocks just north of the main campus, is the university's research and technology park.
